The McLaughlins

Eric and Rachel met in 2003 at the world famous Global Health conference in Louisville, KY (held every November--we HIGHLY recommend it!). They were married in 2005 just in time for the tax deduction. Born: Cleveland, Ohio - 1979
Grew up: Minnesota, etc

What she does all day: OBGYN, teacher, language learner, supermom, travel agent, list maker

Growing up: Bomet, Kenya, Albertville, France, and Kibuye, Burundi

What she does all day: Go to school, play with Abi and Elise, get everyone to read her books

What he does all day: Legos, play "bad guys" with willing and unwilling playmates, build towers, make "truck soup"

What he does all day: climb on things, smile, and be involved in anything his brother and sister are doing
Favorite authors: James Joyce and Fyodor Dostoevsky, though he recently went through a Balzac phase
